wow... i forget about deviantart for a couple weeks, and check back expecting maybe 1 or 2 messages. Only to find an overwhelming amount of response! 407 messages??? i've never felt so popular!

thank you stigmatattoo, for featuring my etching as a DD! And thanks to everyone who stopped by, commented, and favourited a variety of my pieces. you guys really made my day!

so this is about the time when i start getting antsy, and getting stressed out over lack of summer arting (i did NO paintings... unless i count the one of phil at the beach, but it was ugly and definitely doesn't count), and start attempting to prepare myself to make some hella good art this upcoming semester! and for real, i am going to make hella good art this semester if it kills me. if i don't get a study abroad position i think i will be crushed, so i have to work extra hard extra early to fill some gaps. egads.

i have decided to forgive myself for this summer a little, though. it's been a much more productive summer than ordinarily: i had a job, took 2 summer classes (one academic elective and the other a math/science fullfillment), sewed about 6 dresses, made 4 bags/purses, sewed a magpie (like that makes sense?), and also drew occasionally, whether it be to create a couple threadless designs, or be it to document marvelous concerts or just little coffehouse gigs.

o maybe i can count this summer a success!

ooh, except i still need to contact cornerstone and inquire about getting my art displayed; and i need to make more chickens! and work on some pattern designs. i have mimicked patterns and screenprinted on fabric but i have not made my own patterns.

right, the other thing i will do this semester: make on patterned cloth every two weeks? every week? at any rate, i need to get booking for practice as well as for senior year fashion show collab / line with janet.

oh jeeze there is so much to be done!
